The Greensburg-Salem school board approved the 2024-25 budget last night, but the tax hike that went with it is not the one recommended by the business manager. The Trib reports that the 2.5 mill increase is less than the 4.06 mill increase suggested by business manager Allison Willis. The district will also use around $380,000 from its reserves to balance the $51.5 million budget. The average taxpayer with a median assessed value of $17,200 would see a $43 a year increase in taxes.
