LATROBE HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO FEATURE SCREENING OF “FRED ROGERS – IN HIS OWN WORDS”

The Latrobe Historical Society will have a presentation into the early life of television legend Fred Rogers.  The Trib reports that the presentations will be held today and tomorrow at the society’s headquarters.  The program will feature a screening of “Fred Rogers – In His Own Words” which features an interview done in 1990 by a Saint Vincent College student.  Attendees will hear Rogers sharing memories of growing up in Latrobe and impressions of what the town was like dating back to the 1940s. It also underlines how his experiences in Latrobe influenced his work on his PBS children’s show.
