A former nurse’s aide was ordered to serve time in state prison for stealing jewelry from dementia patients at a Murrysville nursing home. The Trib reports that 40-year-old Christina Ankney of Braddock pleaded guilty last April to two misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property for two incidents while she worked at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville. She took rings from two patients and later sold them at a pawn shop in North Versailles. She was sentenced to 306 days to 23 months in jail, but was granted immediate parole for time already served. She must also pay $9500 in restitution.
