PENN BREWERY DEMOLITION DATE TO BE DETERMINED IN UPCOMING MEETING

Westmoreland County officials are getting ready to meet with a contractor that has been hired to tear down the former Penn Brewery building in West Jeannette.  The Trib reports that the start date for demolition of the crumbling property will be determined during that meeting between officials and GEMM demolition, who was awarded the contract yesterday.  Once that is in place, the demolition is expected to take about 6 months.  After it’s down, the property will be rehabilitated to prepare it for redevelopment.
