Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County officials say that water levels at the Beaver Run Reservoir are still well above conservation level limits despite the recent dry spell the area has experienced. The Trib reports that The reservoir, which services the northern half of the authority’s customer base, was about 10 feet above the level that would trigger the onset of conservation efforts required in times of drought. Officials say water use restrictions are not anticipated to be needed in the coming weeks and months. The last time conservation orders were set for their customers was last winter, when water levels were depleted due to months of dry weather. That ended in early March, when substantial rainfall hit the area in March.
