REQUEST REGARDING OAK LAKE GOLF COURSE REJECTED

A request to turn a portion of the former Oak Lake Golf Course into an industrial use zone was rejected late last week by Upper Burrell Township supervisors.  The Trib reports that the request came from Gary Schoepke, owner of the property that is zoned for residential and agricultural use.  The supervisors’ decision came at the conclusion of a public hearing attended by about 30 residents, most apparently opposed to Schoepke’s request.
