The New Kensington Advanced Manufacturing Park is getting six-million dollars in state funding as they work to bring new businesses to the area. Earlier this week, the Regional Industrial Development Corporation announced the investment for the former Alcoa facility along the Allegheny River. The money is split between a grant and a loan, each provided through the Commonwealth Finance Authority. New Kensington Mayor Tom Guzzo says the funding will support demolition costs, site improvements, and utility upgrades.
