A Sewickley man is in custody after state police say he charged at his neighbor armed with a knife. The Trib reports that 33-year-old Kurtis Baker is charged with simple assault, loitering, making terroristic threats and other crimes connected with the incident at his home in Yukon at 4:00 AM Saturday. As the neighbor was checking the air in his tires, Baker ran towards him with the knife in the air. Baker told police his intention was to slash the tires on the neighbor’s vehicle and admitted that he damaged some nearby surveillance cameras. Baker is in Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for this Monday.
