A New Kensington man pleaded guilty to attempted homicide, aggravated assault and other crimes connected with a shooting at East Ken Manor in June of 2021. The Trib reports that 20-year-old Ernest Gary IV will serve up to 14 years in state prison for the drive-by shooting. Gary, who was 17 at the time fired two shots from the passenger side window of a car driven by then-17-year-old Issac Weihrauch at a parked vehicle, wounding one occupant. Gary was given credit for time served and will be eligible for parole in about three years.
