Yesterday, tornadoes in North and South Carolina spawned by Tropical Storm Debby leveled homes, damaged a school and killed one person as the system dropped heavy rain and flooded communities across the 2 states. At least 3 tornados were reported overnight in North Carolina. A spokesman for Lou-comma, a town in Wilson County, North Carolina, said one person was found dead in a home damaged by a tornado. No further details on the person were immediately provided. Tropical Storm Debby is expected to move up through New Jersey and New York today.
