The man accused of stalking a Christian rockstar will remain in Westmoreland County Jail for now. The Trib reports that 43-year-old Anthony Carpenter of Rutland, Ohio was arrested in May after police said he made multiple trips to the home of Lacey Strum in Murrysville. The trips occurred after Carpenter sent dozens of emails, including several that contained threats through a fan website administered by Sturm’s family to tout her music. His lawyer said Carpenter should be given the opportunity to be released from jail as he awaits trial, but Assistant DA Anthony Iannamorelli said that he should be held without bond, citing his potential mental health issues and his fandom may be a threat to Strum and the community. Bail was eventually rejected, but Carpenter must also undergo a psychological evaluation.
