Local officials are sharing details on the planned municipal complex and park project in Hempfield Township. Work began at the 43-acre site off of Route 30 that was formerly owned by Excela Health earlier this month. The township is planning to build a public safety building that will house the Hempfield Volunteer Fire Department, government offices, and an emergency command center. The adjacent 14-acre park is being constructed as the first phase of the project.
