EAST MCKEESPORT WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO LESSER CHARGES

A woman pleaded guilty to lesser charges yesterday in Westmoreland County Court in connection with an incident at a Hempfield home last year.  The Trib reports that 30-year-old Cassidy Colbert of East McKeesport was accused of running over her boyfriend with a car on September 16th.  She pleaded guilty to two counts of child endangerment and a single misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment, but more serious charges were not prosecuted.  Colbert was sentenced to five years of probation with two months house arrest, pay $66,000 in restitution to cover the victim’s medical expenses, and must take anger management classes and undergo a mental health evaluation.
