Students within the Norwin School District will have a new resource to use this upcoming school year. The district says it has hired licensed school social worker Johanna Belako to work within the district. Belako will work with students across the district’s four elementary schools. The position will allow for the needs of students to be met within schools and will allow for other student services staff to focus on other needs, such as absenteeism. Funding for the social worker position comes from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime Delinquency.
