MAWC UNVEILS NEW PAYMENT SYSTEM

The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County has unveiled a new payment system for its water and sewer customers.  The Trib reports that the authority’s board members approved a $350,000 contract with Muni-Link to modernize the system used to bill and communicate with customers, replacing outdated technology and computer programming written and installed in late 1980s and early 1990s.The new system features additional options for customers to pay bills online. Additional payment options such as through third-party sites such as Apple Pay, PayPal and Venmo will be available when the system goes on line in about 18 months.
