Westmoreland County humane officials are investigating the death of a dog in West Newton that they believe was intentionally killed. KDKA-TV reports that a two-year-old pit bull named Tone went missing after its owner let them outside their home on Turkeytown Road on August 22nd. Three days later, the dog was found dead in what All but Furgotten animal rescue called a “brutal” and “torturous” killing. Volunteer humane officers are investigating, and the death report has been turned over to the state police. Anyone with information can call All but Furgotten at 724-382-7178.
