NATIONAL BLOOD DONATION DAY

Governor Josh Shapiro is officially recognizing today as National Blood Donation Day in Pennsylvania.  The American Red Cross and other organizations have reported an emergency blood shortage across the United States.  Residents are encouraged to give blood following the Labor Day holiday, a time when donations typically decline as people make plans and travel.  Citizens in Western Pennsylvania can help by scheduling a donation time with the Red Cross.
