DERRY TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS AWARD CONTRACT TO EXTEND MUNICIPAL WATER SERVICE

Derry Township Supervisors on Tuesday awarded a contract to extend municipal water service along Guthrie Road.  The Trib reports that Export-based Kukurin Contracting had the winning bid of $245,000.  The cost will be covered by state funds, and township money will not be used.  Customers who receive service will be served by the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, and the project could begin in about a month.
