PROPOSED HOUSING UNIT IN ROSTRAVER

A property agreement has been reached by the Westmoreland County Housing Authority concerning the planned construction of a 50-unit building in Rostraver.  The Trib reports that Authority board members are expected to consider the proposed $600,000 purchase this month of six acres near Willowbrook Plaza on Route 51.  The proposed Willowbrook Commons is expected to cost about $14 million.  Construction could begin as soon as 2026, but first they need to submit an application to the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency looking for federal tax credits to pay for the project.
