A Belle Vernon man has rejected a plea deal in a case where he is charged in connection with a road rage killing in Rostraver two years ago. The Trib reports that prosecutors confirmed they made a plea bargain offer to 29-year-old Anthony Hairston to serve 25 to 50 years in prison on a third-degree murder charge and a weapons offense. He is accused of killing 59-year-old Holly B. Vadella of Rostraver as he tried to pass him on Rostraver Road just after midnight on New Year’s Day in 2022. Prosecutors could ask a jury to consider a verdict of first-degree murder against Hairston, an offense that carries a mandatory life prison sentence.
