CORONER INVESTIGATES BODY FOUND IN COOK TOWNSHIP

Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson is investigating what appears to be a body found in Cook Township.  The Trib reports that the identity of the person has not been released.  Carson said he was headed at about 9:30 p.m. to the scene on a residential property at 116 Helens Lane. He said he did not have additional details to release about the apparent remains.  A spokesperson confirmed the Westmoreland County DA’s office was also investigating along Helens Lane in relation to the search for 45-year-old Amy Shipley, who was last seen September 8th in Ligonier.  Additional details weren’t available from authorities.
