BODY IDENTIFIED AS MISSING WOMAN

Westmoreland County’s Coroner has confirmed that the body of a woman found recently along Helens Lane in Cook Township was a woman who was reported missing from Ligonier on September 8th.  The Trib reports that 45-year-old Amy Shipley was found dead at the location in the 100 block of Helens Lane.  The circumstances around her disappearance are not known at this time.  A ruling on the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.  No charges have been filed yet in connection with this case.
