WESTMORELAND COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE SETTLEMENT

Commissioners in Westmoreland County have approved a settlement with a woman who had claimed she was passed over for a job because of age discrimination.  The 68-year-old plaintiff has previous experience as an assistant public defender, assistant district attorney and deputy attorney general.  She says she was told this year that District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli would not give her the post of assistant district attorney because of her age.  Commissioners have given the okay for a 60-thousand dollar settlement of the matter.
