LOCAL LEADERS DISCUSS SHORT-TERM PLANS FOR VACANT LOT

Local leaders are discussing short-term plans for a vacant lot in downtown Greensburg.  The former Advance Furniture site on South Main Street has been empty since the building was demolished and the property was cleared last year.  Officials are pitching a small park and a space for independent merchants as an option for utilizing the area.  The lot could be used to build apartments if a developer who wants to do that comes along, according to planners.
