FIRE CREWS PUT OUT SMOLDERING HAY

Fire crews used high-expansion foam to put out smoldering hay at an equestrian center in Hempfield.  The Trib reports that the hay had been on fire since Saturday when firefighters were called out to battle a blaze at a barn on the property.  The smoldering hay had become a concern for people nearby with respiratory problems.  Crews were there for about two to three hours Thursday morning.
