HEAD ON COLLISION IN SOUTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP

One person is dead after a head-on collision early Monday morning in South Huntingdon Township.  The Trib reports that 30-year-old Steven J. Fryman collided with a tractor trailer around 4:40 in the morning according to State Police.  troopers said the tractor-trailer left its eastbound lane and crossed over the center line into the path of the Subaru WRX Fryman was driving west. The two vehicles crashed and the Subaru’s roof and both driver’s side doors were sheared off.  The tractor-trailer continued east and crashed into an embankment and ditch west of Peterson Road, police said. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.  The cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy report from the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office.
