The Arnold police chief was ordered to stand trial after a near two-hour preliminary hearing on Wednesday. The Trib reports that 41-year-old Joshua Stanga pleaded not guilty to charges Wednesday that stemmed from an integrity test where money and fake OxyContin pills were planted in a car on August 6th. Stanga responded to the scene and the state Attorney General’s office said he took most of the $300 planted there, but only turned over a small portion of the cash and the pills. Stanga’s lawyers say their main defense will be that he was “entrapped” by the test. Stanga is currently on suspension but seeks to get his job back if he is cleared.
