Greensburg City Council is set to vote on advertising its 2025 budget next week. The Trib reports that the budget contains a .9-mil tax increase, which would be a $20 increase in taxes for the average homeowner. Councilman Randy Finfrock said that it has been 18 years since property taxes were increased to bring in more revenue for the city’s operating budget. Part of the shortfall in the proposed spending plan for next year is a decrease in parking revenue, as well as an increase in costs because of inflation.
