NEW CONTRACT APPROVED BETWEEN GREATER LATROBE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND TEACHERS UNION

A new contract was approved between the Greater Latrobe School District and the union representing its teachers.  The Trib reports that the contract includes a 2.43% pay increase each year for teachers at the top of the salary schedule.  Contributions to employee health insurance costs also will increase annually, by an average of 12.33%.  District officials said more details of the contract would be forthcoming once it has been formally signed by both parties.
