An Arnold man charged with stabbing his mother last Summer has been ruled competent enough to stand trial. The Trib reports that 38-year-old Brian Rebold is charged with criminal homicide and first-degree murder in connection with the death of his mother earlier this year outside her home on Liberty Avenue. He was declared competent enough to assist lawyers in his own defense. A preliminary hearing is set for January.
