GOVERNOR SHAPIRO DECLARES DISASTER EMERGENCY IN NORTHWESTERN PA

Governor Josh Shapiro is declaring a disaster emergency due to lake-effect snow in northwestern Pennsylvania. The proclamation allows for state resources to be mobilized to assist communities impacted by the snow. The state’s National Guard is also available to help residents impacted by the winter storm. Pittsburgh International Airport is helping the snow removal effort by sending some of the snow crew to Erie to assist crews there.
