An Ohio man was paroled yesterday after he pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor charges related to the stalking of a singer at her Murrysville home. The Trib reports that 44-year-old Anthony Carpenter of Rutland, Ohio was ordered to serve up to 23 months in jail but was freed provided that he return to Ohio and have no contact with the singer, her family or her property. Carpenter was also ordered to serve up to a year of probation and undergo a mental health evaluation. Carpenter was seen on the family’s property at least three times and he sent hundreds of emails including some that contained what was described as threats and declarations of love for the singer.
