NEW KEN HOLIDAY EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

A number of events to kick off the holiday season are happening in New Kensington this weekend.  The city’s tree lighting is planned for 5:30 this evening near the clock at Ninth Street and Fourth Avenue.  That will be followed by the mayor’s annual Christmas dinner at Firehall Number One.  The meal is free and open to everyone.  Then, folks will gather downtown again at 11:00 o’clock tomorrow morning for the Christmas Parade.  The New Ken Downtown Partnership will be hosting free horse and carriage rides after the parade is over.
