A former State Trooper was arrested on Friday accused of stealing $2000 in merchandise from two Home Depot stores. The Trib reports that 59-year-old John Robert Tamewitz of Penn Township is charged with removing stickers from online orders he picked up in the store, putting the stickers on other items and taking those new items without paying for them. The thefts happened at the Hempfield and Wilkins stores. A preliminary hearing is set for January 14th.
