State police are helping to brighten the holidays for the little girl who lost her grandmother in the Unity Township sinkhole accident earlier this month. The two troopers who found five-year-old Serenity waiting in the car for her grandma, Elizabeth Pollard, took her Christmas shopping yesterday. She got to pick out toys alongside other kids who are participating in the state police “Shop With A Cop” events this season. Trooper Steve Limani, who organizes the annual gift giving program, was also involved in the search for Pollard in the abandoned mine where her body was eventually found.
