KECKSBURG AMBULANCE SERVICE TO CLOSE AT THE END OF THE YEAR

Kecksburg Ambulance Service is set to close at the end of the year.  The Trib reports that the volunteer-based ambulance service will cease operations in Mt. Pleasant Township on December 31st.  Some of the problems include keeping enough certified volunteers.  This marks the second ambulance service in the area to shut down after Saltsburg-based Lifestat EMS shut down abruptly on December 7th.  Mutual Aid and Medic 10 are working with the volunteer service to honor residents’ subscriptions.
