TREE OF LIFE CONGREGATION CELEBRATING HANUKKAH THIS WEEK

The Tree of Life congregation is joining the Jewish community around the world in celebrating Hanukkah this week.  The first night of the holiday fell on the same date as Christmas for the first time in 19 years.  To mark the occasion, the group gathered to light a large menorah at the site of the deadly 2018 attack on their synagogue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood.  Plans are in place for a new synagogue at the property.
