HIGH WINDS CAUSE POWER OUTAGES

High winds that rolled through the area yesterday evening knocked out power to many people in Westmoreland County.  The Trib reports West Penn Power had 5,361 of its customers lose power during the wind storms, with most of them in Lower Burrell and South Huntingdon Township..  About half of those customers had power restored overnight.  No word as to when power will be fully restored.
