PENNDOT TO HOST OPEN HOUSE AT PLEASANT UNITY FIRE HALL

PennDOT will host an open house to unveil plans for the second part of the Laurel Valley Transportation Improvement Project tonight at the Pleasant Unity Fire Hall.  The Trib reports that the open house session will run from 5-7 PM.  The Laurel Valley project is meant to improve safety and traffic flow along the Route 981 Corridor between Mt. Pleasant and the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.  Plans call for smoothing out curves and grades, creating new alignments on parts of the route and installing roundabouts.
