SCOTT TOWNSHIP TACO BELL MANAGER TRIAL UNDERWAY

The trial of a Scott Township Taco Bell manager charged in the killing of a restaurant employee is underway in Allegheny County.  Twenty-six-year-old Zairyre Simmons fatally shot 32-year-old Dorian Carver of Harrison on November 9th of 2022 outside of a nearby business.  Simmons is charged with criminal homicide with his attorney telling jurors that Carver had threatened his client’s life multiple times in the past.  Prosecutors say the case is not a whodunit and that Simmons killed Carver intentionally and with malice.
