LIGONIER TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING TOMORROW TO FILL VACANT SEAT ON BOARD

A meeting of the Ligonier Township Supervisors will be held tomorrow to fill a vacant seat on the board.  The Trib reports that on April 8th, supervisors could not come to an agreement on who would fill the seat left open from D. Scott Matson’s resignation in March.  None of the eight candidates could reach a three-vote majority to receive the appointment.  If township officials are still unable to come to an agreement, the matter will be referred to the Westmoreland County Courts.
