RAID AT HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP ILLEGAL STEROID LAB

State police say an illegal steroid lab at a home in Hempfield Township is now out of commission following a raid late last week. Troopers and federal law enforcement executed a search warrant at a home on Muirfield Drive, an upscale development near Youngwood, this past Friday. Trooper Steve Limani says a resident was getting chemicals shipped to the property from overseas and producing steroids in a basement lab before sending them out to fill illegal orders all over the country. A tip led to the discovery of the operation, according to officials. There were no formal charges filed or suspects named as of Friday.
