DERRY TOWNSHIP COUPLE PLEAD GUILTY

A Derry Township couple entered guilty pleas on Tuesday to charges related to the assault of a teenage boy.  The Trib reports that 54-year-old Charles Harr and his wife, 53-year-old Jamie allegedly beat and strangled the child to the point that he is permanently disfigured.  The assaults went on over a four year timespan.  Not only did they assault him, but he was also confined to his room, forced to eat hot peppers and they also took his glasses and refused to return them to him for weeks.  The Harrs will remain in jail until their sentencing hearing later this year.
