Two people who have been allegedly defrauded by an area funeral home director have filed a class action lawsuit seeking monetary damages. The Trib reports that Patrick Vereb, who ran funeral homes in Pittsburgh and Harrison, is accused by the state Attorney General of stealing over $600,000 from customers by throwing animal remains entrusted to his care into a landfill and giving them ashes that were not their pets. This lawsuit has not yet been filed, but Vereb is due back in court on June 18th.
