DERRY TOWNSHIP ORGANIZATIONS TO INSTALL SMOKE ALARMS THIS SATURDAY

Derry Fire Department, Friends of Derry and the Chestnut Ridge and the American Red Cross will team up to install smoke alarms this Saturday.  The Trib reports that residents can call 833-315-0882 or submit a request through soundthealarm.org/greaterpa.  The National Fire Protection Association said that between 2018 and 2022, about 43% of the home fire deaths recorded did not have smoke alarms present.
