Westmoreland County Commissioners approved an emergency contract on Monday to rebuild a picnic pavilion destroyed in a windstorm at Twin Lakes Park. The Trib reports that the wind gusts in March uprooted a large tree, causing it to crash into the pavilion. The structure had been rented for events last month and this month, and those events were relocated. The $65,000 project will start immediately and the project will take about two weeks.
