NEW POPE ANNOUNCED

A new pope was announced yesterday, and the bishop of the Greensburg Catholic Diocese is joining other faithful around the world in welcoming him to his new post.  Bishop Larry Kulick said he was excited to hear the news about the vote by the Cardinals that made Cardinal Robert Prevost, who was born in Chicago, the newest pontiff.  He also said that like many others, he was surprised that the new Pope Leo XIV is an American.  Bishop Kulick said that his prayers, along with all those of the diocese, are going Pope Leo’s way as he begins his new ministry.
