Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Company Number Three is getting a custom-built rescue engine in the near future. The company has contracted with an Ohio fire equipment manufacturer to put together the engine to meet their specific needs. Chief Brennan Sites says getting the new apparatus will make the overall fleet smaller but their response will be more efficient. The new engine comes with a price tag of over one-million and will not be delivered until 2028.
