MEMORIAL SERVICE HELD IN DERRY YESTERDAY FOR VICTIMS OF PET CREMATION SCANDAL

A memorial service was held in Derry on Sunday for those who were affected by the recent controversy surrounding a pet cremation business.  The Trib reports that the memorial service offered closure for some victims of Patrick Vereb, who authorities say that he disposed animal carcasses in landfills and gave people the ashes of other animals.  He is facing charges from the state Attorney General and a class-action lawsuit has been filed in Allegheny County.
