A federal court has decided how the cash assets of the recently shuttered Jeannette EMS should be distributed. The Trib reports that the remaining $25,000 will go to three unsecured creditors, attorneys and others. After fees for the bankruptcy trustee, two law firms and an accounting firm, Capital one, law firm Vuono and Gray and Freedom Advantage Insurance will split $15,600, which is nowhere near the nearly $400,000 the three claimed Jeannette EMS owed them. The EMS shut down on July 3rd of 2023 due to insufficient funding and low insurance reimbursement.
